- This document specifies the additional conditions, pressure test requirements, test methods and test acceptance criteria for industrial valves. This document applies to pressure tests of metallic valves. Note: The use of this document is specified by the valve product standard. Valves of other materials can be implemented by reference.

Interpretation of Industrial Valve Pressure Test Standards

Shell test:Pressure test the overall structure of the valve to ensure no leakage and structural damage under rated pressure.
Seal test:Mainly verifies the sealing performance of the valve, applicable to important types of valves such as gate valves and ball valves.
Upper seal test:For valves with upper seal structure, test their sealing effect under high pressure.
